About Individual Therapy
By listening compassionately and working closely with you, I can help you discover your own path to developing more confidence, satisfying relationships and contentment. My expertise includes assisting you with creative and professional blocks, health and body image issues and life transitions, such as: separation or divorce, career change, relocation, deciding whether or not to have child, or adjusting to an empty nest. I can also help you with finding a way to heal from traumatic or painful personal life experiences.
With over 25 years experience, I have found that developing deeper self-awareness can bring about change. Understanding and resolving emotional difficulties helps you realize your full potential. My therapy style is both interactive and reflective.
About Couples Therapy
In couples therapy, I help you to improve communication, resolve conflict and enhance intimacy. This happens by creating a safe, non-judgmental environment, which helps you and your partner or spouse get to the root of the difficulties in your relationship. I can help you discover and understand the fears and worries that often lie below the surface of your conflicts. You will learn productive ways of talking about these concerns with each other. By being able to communicate effectively about these highly charged emotional issues and by listening carefully to your partner’s communication, each of you improves understanding of yourself and also of your partner. In this manner, you both become able to more effectively work together in making decisions and promoting a greater feeling of satisfaction and intimacy in your relationship.
