About My Practice

I like to work with people who are interested in understanding the issues that trouble them through psychotherapy or psychoanalysis.  The idea is to decipher the patterns of behavior that have been problematic and to learn how to better handle issues.  Medication is used if necessary. 

My office is in my home in Lincoln Park virtually on the De Paul campus.  But my affiliation is with Northwestern Medical School where I am an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry.  I see patients with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, work or school adjustment issues, problems of procrastination or sexuality, adjustment issues, and so on.  My website is www.harveymfreedmd.com.  You may call me directly.
