About My Practice

I am an experienced, broadly educated, and dedicated psychoanalyst and psychiatrist.  I try to understand people as comprehensively as possible.  Helping people to understand themselves enables them to find new solutions to problems that previously seemed insoluble, and to improve their lives to the greatest extent possible.

I treat a culturally and professionally diverse group of people, including many mental health professionals.  I have been teaching and supervising mental health professionals for more than 25 years.  Recently I also co-teach a course on Psychoanalysis and Anthropology for students at the University of Pennsylvania.
